  • How and Why....

Well, I guess it all startyed when I was in high school back in 1973. My parents bought me a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner complete with the 383 C.I. and the 3-speed automatic. Most of my friends had Chevrolets, a few with Fords, and even fewer with MOPARs. So we were kind of like the underdog.
needless to say I was hooked on MOPAR from then on.

While in the Navy in 1975, I bought a 1972 Dodge Demon, with a 340, automatic. :-) After I got out of the Navy in 1977, I bought a 1964 (?) Dodge Power Wagon that was a pre runner to today's SUV. I don't remember the model, but it was like a huge panel truck.

Next in 1980 came a 1971 Dodge Power Wagon in the light green color that was a former BLM (Bureau of Land Management, or for a more generic term - a Forest Ranger's truck.) It had a 318, 4-speed, bare bones everything.

And now, I'm looking at a 1954 Dodge M37. Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow!
