  • What, where, when, who?

I am going to begin to post some old photos I have. The questions are such things as...

    What is the truck?

    Where was it taken?

    When was it taken?

Who owned it then and who owns it now?

    Other comments are welcome also.

    Here is the first:

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Well about all I can say is the first one is a WC 52 at the car wash in Fairfield.
Have no idea who or when.
The second is not Mike Verst's truck, but very nice.

Don't think it's Mike Verst's based on the radio antenna, mirrors and the notched rear fenders? I've been wrong before, however? Doug

The crewcab photo is at least 20 years old, probably more.

Was up at Doug's for a while this morning and he thought that was your W 300 in the Background?
Neither one of us could place the building corner, or the the truck.
Now that makes sense as you said 20+ yrs old.

Hopefully you will spiil the beans later,ha
Thanks Gordon. Love old Photo's don't you?

I would say that is a '46 WDX #83901140 crew cab owned by Robert Metcalfe Jr. Looks like Tim Peterson and Tom Scott taking a shower in Tim's WC52, which he later sold to Paul Cook. I remember them driving over to the car wash across from the Best Western. I would guess the year to be 1989.

I remember Robert's truck because my trucks serial number was 83901144, four numbers apart!
