    I've visited this truck twice now, second time with camera. Bed is obviously wrong, but please tell me more.

    Looks like a WWII Dodge WC 62 with different front wheels and maybe axle.

        Forgot to mention that Gordon, Likely it's not a military cab top, the army had a hard top kit for the WC series that looked much different and not like what is installed on the truck the OP has shown here.

          Could it be later and modified? I believe some M-series 6x6 hard cabs have been adapted to M37's, for example.

            True, I used to have one such hard top from an early Deuce that was adapted to fit the M37, bought it new in the crate at Sam Werner's sp. in Akron Oh. sometime in the early 80s It was the oval non opening type usually seen these days only on M37s.
