68 w100 stepside axles?

i have a 1968 w100 with the step side im rebuilding. my question is i have a dana 60 rear and dana 44 front. is this the normal axles for the truck. most places i go to find parts say i should have a crystler 8.75 axle not a dana 60. did they come with both or was mine an axle swap?

Those are the Factory axles for your truck Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear yes. Do you have a picture of your Data Plate, mounted inside your door? It should have all of the information stamped on it. Post it here and we can unravel the mysteries of your Data plate.

1/2ton W100 should have 5-lug wheels/axles. Is the rear Dana 60 an 8 lug? I have only seen dana 60 5 lug in a Jeep IH

My W100 came 5 lug 8 3/4 rear and 5 lug dana 44 front. I swapped to Dana 60 front and rear 8 lug.

I call it a 5/8 ton now :)

1961-68 W100 used Dana 44 front & Dana 60 rear, same as W200 (all were 8 lugs). In fact the only difference between the W100 & W200 was wheelbase. W100 were all short wheelbase, W200 long.

In 69 the W100 switched to the 5 lug 8.75" rear & 5 lug Dana 44

Your truck should have the 8 lug Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear axles. You will also have the same brake lines & master cylinder as the W200 came with. The '61-'68 W100s used
the same leaf springs as the W200.

Beginning in '69, the W100 was equipped with the Chrysler Corporate 5 lug axles, lighter leaf springs and a single stick NP205 transfer case, A 128" wheel base W100 was offered in addition to the 114" model.

So it Depends on what front Axle was put under your truck, can you send pictures of your front axle and locking hubs?

I believe that would be the rear axle ratio.
