  • Long Lost Power Giant

    Hello,

I am trying to locate the 1959 Dodge Power Giant that my family had on our ranch, located in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. It was sold back in the mid to late 90's (before my time).

It was blue, it had a V8 of some kind, of course 4wd, a utiline bed, a driver side bed mounted spare tire on the fender, and a searchlight mounted on the driver's side of the dash. I don't know if there was a matching one on the other side as I don't have a picture showing that side. Also the pictures show a lumber rack on the bed.

I have checked the Power Giant Registry and I contacted the owner of one I thought may be it, but I haven't gotten a response in several days and the truck was registered there in 2007.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Noah

Noah any chance you have a VIN to check with the DMV to locate this truck? Perhaps an old registration or the former insurance agent has the VIN on a policy?

I know it has been a while but I have been able to find an insurance paper that has the last 5 digits of the VIN which are 22413. I also know from that paper that it is for sure a half ton. I also have a picture of the truck, but for some reason I am not allowed to post it.

Check out the below web link, this could be your Vin number since the 1959 Dodges appear to start with M6D1L plus your 5 digit number "22413" or M6D1L22413. The second Link below is from the Dodge Power Giant Registry, then at bottom of page click "Registry Listings and go to page 11, see third link below.
