  • Gordon's M-37

I purchased Gordon's M-37 from his estate. Gordon preserved it well. The odometer shows 15,989 miles. Gordon purchased it in 1993 from the City of Robins, Iowa.

Matt Welcher at Vintage Power Wagons is restoring it. Matt says the engine runs very well and is making great progress restoring it.

Look for it at the 2015 rally in June.

        Love them "Old Yeller" M37's

What a great find.......and running too. Mine is an ex-US Forest Service Yeller M37. She's getting close to "runnin" soon. Had to do a little brake work....hoses, belt, shocks, batteries.

          Same USFS yellow paint job

Well.....we finally got "OLD YELLER" up and running. In fact she runs better than my M37 "driver". After checking the timing and a few thousand other things....like patching the fuel tank twice, as it developed a 2nd leak (which means dropping it twice)........cleaning the lines....replacing the fuel pump 3 times (yes, we got a bad pump that was brand new...not NOS)....a new in-line filter. And then we poured a little gas in the carb....and the first revolution it started....ran about 10 seconds, and then a friend knocked a rag into the spinning fan and shut it down. It ran smooth....idled smooth....no smoke....and NO NOISES from the engine. but it was 2 more weeks before we took a drive in the parking lot. A few more things had to be done, and we had more fuel pump problems. I think we changed the fuel pump 8 times....and finally just rebuilt the original. Last week.....we finally adjusted the steering box....to take the slack out of the steering wheel. It would rotate 180 degrees from left to right....now we've got it down to 10 degrees. And we now have seats. I adapted the back seat out of a Jeep Cherokee. Its the perfect width & height, and looks good.[URL="http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/classifieds/buehn-050315-53m37.phphttp://" http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/classifieds/buehn-050315-53m37.php
