  • Hood cart to make life easier

With doing the number of Power Giant trucks I restore I needed a better way to hold the hoods for painting. I came up with some scrap stock, a pair of hinges and some castors to make life easier. It holds the hood vertically to paint the underside then I can lay it down like it is a truck to paint the top. The two posts keep the hinges from going over center. I also removed the springs to make it easy to open and close. I can now paint the entire hood at one time with no hard line in the paint from masking. Working smarter, not harder

    Ron,

That looks great and much more stable than what I used in painting a Jeep hood, very nice and well done!
    I drive a DODGE, not a ram!

    Thanks,
    Will

Way better than dangling it from a swing set.
