  • It started with a 36 Dodge P/U in 1962

About the time I got my drivers license in 62, my younger brothers and I became friends with some kids that lived 2 miles or so from me. Their dad had this old 36 Dodge P/U. Out of 7 boys (us-3,them-4), only 2 of us had a license, myself and Jim their oldest. We drove the wheels off of that old truck. It never failed to start in the Iowa winters. One day we even packed 5 kids in the cab to get out of the cold.

Over the years I've had numerous trucks, mostly Ford. About 20 years ago I found this 74 W200 ex Forest Service power wagon. I just couldn't live without it. So, I badgered the guy until he sold it to me. And I'm still driving it. Only about 2000 miles a year though.

It started with a Dodge pickup in 1962

I really like seeing the old pre-war Dodges and am especially partial to anything with the Dodge Brothers emblem on it! Thanks for sharing!
