  • 1994 Dodge 2500 Diesel questions

I have just purchased a 1994 Dodge 2500 Diesel. Of course I do not have the original owners manual. Can anyone tell me where to acquire one of these hard to find manuals.
If not I need to know the maintainance schedule as well as the fluids and filters recommendations on the Cummins engine. I want to keep this engine running like new so I need all the help I can get.
    Thanks in advance,
    Brian Holt

No problem, I will be patient. If you can find one it will be appreciated. I just bought a Haynes manual, but I am not that impressed to tell you the truth. They seem to have gone downhill over the years.
I don't know if I told you but I am having trouble with my speedo. It quit working the other day, then for what ever reason it worked this morning, but when I shut down the truck and restarted it quit working again. Still not working this afternoon. Any ideas on this?

Vehicle Description: 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup 5.9L, GAS, Vin Z, Eng Cfg V8

            Mileage: 150000

Customer Concern: Speedometer and temperature gauge are inoperative intermittently.

Tests/Procedures: 1. Turn on the park lamps, open the glove box, push in the cigar lighter to see if this affects the gauges.

            2. If it does, check the ground just above the headlight switch.

Potential Causes: Bad ground above the headlight switch

Where is this switch located. If you can't test these I guess you just replace them until the problem corrects itself.

before you drop money on a NEW sensor l,d go to the junkyard and pull a few / you can get one out of a 2 or 4 wheel RAM - Dakota or van and most FWD cars

let me get everything together and then l,ll be in touch / it,ll probly be the middle of next week
