I had high hopes of restoring this old 79 Trailduster, but, after 8 months, it is still sitting where I unloaded it. It needs a good home.
This has the REMOVABLE hardtop, and, the top is in near PERFECT condition. Truck has a 360, auto trans., fulltime 4x4, factory A/C, rancho shocks and steering stabilizer, and good tires.
Interior is worn and well used, dash cracked, but not cut up, gauges work, A/C is missing parts under hood and inoperable, original center console, but replacement seats out of a Bronco, no rear seat.
Engine ran great when I bought it. Now, after sitting 8 months, it runs rough and does not want to idle. It needs a carb. cleaning and fresh gas in tank. Then, it should run fine again. Has nice set of tuned headers. Exhaust removed at header flanges, so it is loud. Even with the rough running engine right now, it drives and stops just fine.
Body had rust repair at one time, but it was not done very well. Now has typical wheel opening rust on rear openings, rust on left rocker and left fender. Floors patched and solid from what I can see. Right front fender is a rustfree replacement. Lower part of tailgate has rust also. Top is rust free and in great condition. All glass good.
Located 30 miles north of Denton, Tx. I can deliver a fair distance, for my actual haul costs.
Have clear Texas title in my name.
Clean the carb and it is a daily driver. Would also be a pretty easy restoration project.
