Gents (and fine Ladies),

I am looking to purchase part of an M37. I need a complete cab with a windshield frame, doors, and all of the fender parts and sheet metal from there forward, and the front half of a chassis, A mounted and sprung front axle with good steering would be nice to have too.

No engine, transmission, or transfer case, or any parts from the rear of the cab back required. If they are there, that would be fine. If it has a rear axle in place, it could be returned to the seller as I have no need for it. A frame with rear end damage is also acceptable.

I have located several trucks in good shape locally, but don't wish to tear up something that is complete, useable, or easily restorable as is, nor do I wish to pay 'running truck' prices for pieces.

I have a cab, hood, fenders, grille, and front sheet metal (and radiator) from the WC series (WC62) in useable shape to trade for part of the purchase price or shipping.

I am located in central Oklahoma (Choctaw) and would be willing to travel up to 400 miles to pick the vehicle up if it is the right one at the right price.

For you nosey ones out there, I'm finally going to do the M37 Mini-Deuce conversion to my WC62.

OK, I'll bite.... what is the mini-deuce conversion? You have to tell us about it, you can't just bait us like that.

If you have been to the MARS website, you will have seen the 6X6 with the M37 cab.

I plan on using the front half of an M37 and the rear half of a WC62 to make a 3/4 size Deuce and a half, complete with dual rear wheels.

A while back, Jackson Reimund had some trailer dually wheels in 16 inch for sale, and several other folks have advertised them also.

The truck bed I would like to use is the 1-1/2 ton chevy bed if I can locate one in good shape.

This wil allow me to use stock bows and canvas over the bed, and also the fold down seats for rear passengers.

I have been contemplating modifications to this vehicle for quite a while, and it came down to the deuce or a 6X6 Dodge Command Car, made somewhat like the Mercedes WWII cars.

The Command Car just didn't quite stir me up as much as this, so the decision was finally made based on how many Veterans I can fit in the back for parades, and how many Boy Scouts with gear can fit, too.

I will try to answer any other questions that you have about either of the choices I had, as I also did a lot of research into the 6X6 Command Car prior to making this decision.

I also did some paste ups and designs to work with for the CC, and blew the side view of the body sheet metal up to 1:1 for eyeball testing.

Looks really good, but not really practical.

I have a nice complete frame and a front axle for sale but I am in North Florida. Need a trip to Disney World?

If you are buying, my sister lives in Deltona, and I haven't seen her in a while. Seriously, I really need the cab more than the frame. I could put it on the WC frame, but it's more work that way, believe it or not.

Mark:
I am in NW Arkansas, I have a cab and frame email me if you are interested. Kind of odd I pick up the parts truck outside Webber Falls.

Gentlemen,

I have been offered several junk chassis with scrap cab pieces attached, a couple of mildly bent frames with bare cabs and bent up fenders, and a couple of true rust buckets. Only one offering was anywhere near acceptable, and it was a little too far away to be practical.

I have since been offered a complete, good running, and stopping M37 with a winch and many NOS and new parts to completely restore it, and its close by too. The price for this whole basket of goodies is not much more than some of the wreckage I've been showed lately, so I'm taking the Gent up on the offer.

Any pieces I don't need will be posted here on the Forum for the rest of you to purchase, and at very realistic prices.

Thank you for your offerings.
