I have pulled a fully functioning hand brake system off of my M116A1 generator trailer because I installed a surge brake system with disk brkes from HeliTool. I believe that it is the same hand brake system that is on the 3/4 trailer pulled by the M37. Only thing wrong is that a little clevis "thingy" is broke on one of the hand brake parts. It could probably be welded or replaced by something you would find in the Granger cataloge. I don't know. Anyway the drums look pretty new to me as the trailer appears to have sat and was not used much. The drums are the same ones used by the M37 so if you are looking for a good used set here it is. I want to sell everything for $100. If you don't want that I am willing to sell the drums for $25 each. I will not sell the brake system apparatus until somebody buys both the drums. Let me know of your interest. If nobody is interested I will put it out on ebay in a while. Go to BigElectric web site and look under a similar post if you want to see pictures OR email me and I will send you a 600+KBS picture direct so you can see details

of the trailer.

I would especially like to see how you installed the Helitool kit.

Have you ran it on the road yet? Do you think the extra braking was worth the expense/effort?

Thanks.

Conversion was easy and well worth the effort. I had already jacknifed one trailer loaded with wood when a Duke Power truck hogged the road. I have 4 wheel Helitool on my M37 so can stop fast and now my trailer will stop. I wrote an article for MVM a while back. All my pictures are close to 1000KB so won't fit on this forum. Email me on side and I can send you a good shot of the trailer tongue. Surge hitch is off of the M116A2. Let me try this reduced quality picture and see if it does it.

Terry,

Personal messaging is not enabled. However, you can click on the person's profile button, go there, and ask to send an e-mail. The sender does not see the receiver's e-mail address, which affords the receiver a measure of privacy. This method works just as well and just as fast as personal messaging.

Should anyone want to share their e-mail address openly, they can simply put it in a post.

Personal messaging offers no real advantage over this in-site e-mail mechanism, and it does consume bandwidth.

Other features I have disabled include the use of avatars (small images for each user) and smilies, all of those little yellow circles offering various emotive faces. All of that uses bandwidth, and for now at least, those features are not enabled.

I don't think avatars or smilies are really necessary for earnest communication.

I think you already have a nice site, and sometimes find too many features to simply be a burden, cluttering everything up.

I'll use the other mail option.
