Very nice looking truck. But, is that price a misprint? I did not realize these trucks were bringing that kind of money, even on Epay, unless restored to exactly "as new" condition. I guess I have been asleep for a while when it comes to Power Wagon Prices. I hope my "W" series Sweptlines appreciate in price like this.

It shore do look sweet! A couple of questions. Is that clear plastic laminate over the bed & wheel wells? What did ya use for the passenger side front seat? I assume like the WC 53 & 54, that came with the tilting jump seat so people can enter the aft section of the vehicle. We are planing on replacing the front seats in the Beast, but can't find anything that'll fold enough for that entry.
TIA

HA! Maybe it's a good thing I'm going for an eye exam. It really looks like you can see the bed strips thru the top piece, which lead me to think "Plastic". I also looked better at how your seats are mounted. Looks like a rasied platform that they're on. Okay. I guess Maynard will have to keep the jump seat as I'm gonna get a power bucket for my old butt. Actually, I need more leg room.
Thanks & Good Luck

PS: The Volo Auto Museum has a M615, but they have it listed as a WC 54. HA! http://www.powerwagonadvertiser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4804 Last pic post #9.

The other may have (and probably did) come from VPW, but no, he got it from a private collector. Seeing theirs all mislabled and stuff made me wonder how many other vehicles there were mislabled. He said even the title said it was a 1944 truck. Also, he said his resident vehicle guru agreed it was a 1944 WC 54. When I left him he was going to Re-Evaluate the truck. I suggested he re-evaluate his guru. HA!

Yes, after I read your followup post, I saw that you have put a lot of work, parts and money into your truck.
I saw those trucks at VPW, and, they were pretty rough back then.

I saw em too, and was even considering one until I found the Beast. He had them on his web site (or an offshoot site, as in special link), and at 1st I thought they were trucks we had left behind in the Nam, back when Nixon gave us that Peace With Honor junk, and that the Vietnamese were sellin em back to us. HA! To tell the truth, I wasn't sure who had them or was selling them back then, and then we had one of our 1st major conputer crashes, where I lost EVERYTHING off the hard drive, and was never able to find that site again.
On that EXPERT topic, the ones I watch out for are the ones that admit or claim they are experts. It's like their words are written in stone. It is what they say and nothing else, PERIOD! We almost lost our son due to a group of so called EXPERTS, then they tried to cover up & hide their mistakes. Was I hot! Now the ones that blush when another person calls them an expert, well they're usually good to go. ''Later
