Having been a "serious" buyer many times, and having seen many such "wanted" ads and posts, I have learned that a truly "serious" buyer provides most of the following information:
What are you looking for? There were speciality companies that rebuilt new WDX-WM300 trucks fresh off the assembly lines and modified them into crew cabs. These are rare and much sought after. Then, there were the factory built "W" series crew cabs - not so rare - but sought after in the hope of finding one in reasonably good condition.
Where are you? I might be within 50 miles of you but don't respond because I don't want to get into the transportation hassle.
What is your price range? Some "serious" buyers do not have the "serious" money a "serious" seller wants for his truck. If I had a fully restored crew cab with rare engine and drive line options and other rare option packages, my price would probably be at the high end of your budget - or beyond.
These general comments are not directed at you personally. There are many others who do not give enough information to help a "serious" seller know if they should respond. E-harmony wants 27 factors for making a connection. I have only suggested three.
Good Luck!
