Winch ID

Is this a military type winch? It has been modified to run off a hydraulic motor but it looks like it could have been run from a pto at one time? Any help is appreciated.

On second thought, is that a LU - 2 from the civilian sweptlines?

Looks somewhat similar to the Braden MU2, I couldn't see some of the details that would tell for sure in the photo. If it is one of these, it is heavily modified, more than just the hydraulic motor. Braden also built some unversal mount winches, such as could be mounted on platforms & used on farm tractors, on truck beds, etc. It could be of that type as well.

An mu2 would have a housing with a casting to allow mounting to the bumper. This one doesn't seem to have that mounting point so it's some other Braden, like an M2?

From the color it looks like a Tulsa, gin pole winch. ??
