I am fixing to buy a mig welder.
I am looking at a Miller 251 or a Lincoln 255.
These machines are about the same price.
Dose anyone have any experience with either
one of these machines?

I would go with whoever has the best service and/or distribution in your area. Both are very good units and you probably will be happy with either. I have an older Miller 150 MIG and it has given me very good service over the years.

I agree with Hollis, quick parts delivery and helpful parts man is worth its weight in gold. I've got the earlier version of the Miller 251, 250X I believe is the number. Nice machine and NO problems after 4 years of use. Hope this helps, Kevin

Thanks for the input. The same welding shop in town carries
both machines. I will probably buy the Lincoln because I have
used a Lincoln 225 for twenty years with no problems.
